Philadelphia 76ers forward made his return to LA Clippers for an NBA game. The treatment of the fans bothered him for an old statement. George called the team Los Angeles’s “B team” and in response, fans booed throughout the game. Fans told him to ‘think before he speaks’ in reply to his statement.
George defended the statement he made a few months ago. The 76ers forward said on Podcast P, “What did I say that was wrong? I did not call Clippers ‘the B team’ I said it felt like the B team just because of, everywhere you go people in LA say ‘You should be a Laker. You should be a Laker.’ That wasn’t minimizing, that wasn’t downplaying … I was a Clipper. That’s who I chose to play for.”
