Week 6 Sunday Night Football: Top 5 games to watch out for

  • Chicago Bears (3-2) vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-4)

The second NFL London game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Trevor Lawrence and co. will take on the rookie and first overall pick of 2024 NFL Draft Caleb Williams and the Bears. Touted to be one of the biggest quarterbacks in the NFL, Trevor Lawrence would not be happy with where the Jaguars are right now. The Bears, on the other hand, are the favorites to win this matchup.

  • Washington Commanders (4-1) vs. Baltimore Ravens (3-2)

A possible rookie of the year versus the league’s current MVP- Ravens vs. Commanders is one of the most anticipated contests for this week’s Sunday Night Football. The offensive trio of Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry and Zay Flowers can lay waste to any defense of their day. But the Commanders are riding high this season. They have wins over the Patriots, Bengals, Browns and Cardinals, with their only loss coming against Tampa Bay. The Ravens and Commanders are 1-2 in rushing this season. The more experienced line-up of Ravens is still the favorite to win this matchup.

  • Detroit Lions (3-1) vs. Dallas Cowboys (3-2)

The Dallas Cowboys schedule brings them face to face against Dan Campbell’s Detroit Lions. After playing nearly the perfect game last time, Jared Goff and the Lions will be visiting the Cowboys at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. While the Lions would love to keep the winning momentum going, the Cowboys are coming to this matchup with wins over the Giants and the Steelers. Though they have the home crowd support behind them, Dak Prescott and co. are still underdogs in this game against the disciplined Lions.

  • Cleveland Brown (1-4) vs. Philadelphia Eagles (2-2)

Jalen Hurts and The Eagles will be back at the Lincoln Financial Field after their bye-week. It is a no-brainer that the Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni is on the hot seat. The rejuvenated Eagles squad are the favorites to register a win over the Browns, who already have 4 losses in their 5 games. On a 3-game losing streak already, another loss on the trot will put a serious dent on the Browns’ playoff hopes, if there are any.

  • Cincinnati Bengals (1-4) vs. New York Giants (2-3)

Two teams who find themselves in the slump, this matchup becomes a battle for survival. Joe Burrow and Zac Taylor are under a lot of pressure. While Taylor finds himself on the hot seat, Joe Burrow faces an enigma where he has 1370 passing yards and 12 touchdowns but only 1 win to show for all that in 5 games. The Giants and Daniel Jones have their own fair share of troubles, with inconsistency playing a huge role in the team’s downfall. The Bengals are still favored to win this matchup.

Week 6 Teams with Bye-Week

4 teams will have a bye-week for Week 6. These teams are the Miami Dolphins, the two-time defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs, the Los Angeles Rams and the Minnesota Vikings. Out of the 32 teams in the league, only the Chiefs and Vikings are undefeated through week 5 with a 5-0 record.
